The Mental Health Clinician facilitates Child and Family Planning Meetings using wraparound principals that are family-centered, individualized, strengths-based, and outcome-focused. Santa Clara County Connection’s goal is to help children and their families with complex and enduring needs receive intensive treatment in the least restrictive environment that is appropriate. The Clinician provides assessment of the client and family’s needs and leads the team in providing treatment to support the family toward meeting their goals.
Seneca’s Wraparound programs offer family-centered, individualized, culturally relevant, and strength-based support to families with complex and enduring needs. Wraparound works in close partnership with Department of Family and Children Services, Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health, and group homes, providing strengths-based and outcome-oriented alternatives to group care placements for children and youth by drawing upon community and family strengths. Treatment and support services are tailored to address behaviors and meet family needs, even as they change over time.
Seneca’s clinical practice model integrates ideas and methodologies from three intellectual traditions: attachment theory (to build healthy relationships), learning theory (to replace negative behaviors with positive ones) and systems theory (to address environmental factors).
