HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill a Registered Associate MFT/Professional PCC position opening at our in custody program at Lynwood County Jail for women in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate has familiarity with DSM-V diagnostic criteria, demonstrated record keeping abilities, and the ability to work as part of interdisciplinary team. In this position, you will work part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team, gain clinical supervision and leadership skills, and participate in an organization dedicated to mission-driven, trauma-informed, and whole person care.

The Registered Associate MFT/Professional PCC Provides gender-responsive services to women in the GRR Program in accordance with their respective scope and practice of license or registration. Delivers trauma-informed services such as Seeking Safety, Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, DBT groups as well as individual therapy.

Key Responsibilities

Mental Health Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates Trauma Groups, such as Seeking Safety curriculum and groups in a custody-based setting for women in groups with an average of 15-18 clients per session.
  • Assists participants with skill development, activities for daily living, and learning to cope and succeed independently.
  • Functions as part of a treatment team with all stakeholders involved with the participant, EBI, Jail Mental Health.
  • Provides services in a culturally sensitive manner, conduct case conference, offering clinical feedback, and training to staff, serve as the liaison between GRRP and Jail mental health.
  • Review COMPUS assessment for all mental health referrals. Work with Director to offer staff clinical training on up -to -date clinical interventions. ·

Administrative and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate records of participant contact and submits paperwork weekly. Provides thorough progress notes and other documentation. Participates in all program related meetings. Support the staff with court letters, and progress letters for social workers as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Co-Supervises the work and service delivery of the Family Services Coordinator, and performs administrative supervisory tasks.
  • Performs the functions of the Coordinator during times of prolonged absence.
  • Serve as clinical support to the GRRP team, offering suggestion to Director, and Supervising Counselor, regarding curriculum, groups topics offered.
  • Make recommendation to the conflict resolution process.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • All licensed/registered clinicians and associates are required to report suspected child abuse or neglect
  • Covers caseload or groups for absent colleagues as needed
  • Conducts and attends assigned trainings/attends monthly training committee meeting
  • Participates in curriculum development (as assigned)
  • Participates in research and publishing efforts (as assigned)
  • Collaborates with program evaluators
