PROGRAM

Vista Hill Learning Assistance Center- North Inland is a school, home and community based mental health program working under EPSDT Medi-Cal and MHSA contracts with the County of San Diego and various other school-based contracts, working with children, adolescents and their families.
The Vista Hill Learning Assistance Center North Inland assignment will include between 1-5 days in one of our remote locations (Julian, Borrego Springs, Warner Springs, and Spencer Valley).

POSITION

The Unlicensed Therapist is responsible for the clinical integrity, assessment, plan and delivery of the mental health services to the child and family. Assures that all provided services, program documentation, and billing are consistent with program policies and various county and community contracts as well as any federal, state, county, and district requirements. This is a temporary position through June 30, 2018.

• Provide counseling/mental health services to elementary school, middle school and high-school age students.
• Practice as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical assessments, intervention and support to students.

REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of theory and practice of psychotherapy and community and school based mental health.
• Knowledge and experience with Cerner (Anasazi) and computer based documentation.
• Knowledge and experience in working with children, adolescents, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Knowledge of the special education process and IEP process and has a working understanding of the range of learning and emotional disabilities.
• Master’s Degree and California intern license registration in good standing with the CA BBS.
• Bilingual preferred.

HOURS
Work hours are Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week with at least 3 days in Julian.
