PROGRAM
Be a part of PROMOTE!, a program partnering with the Escondido Union School District to provide school and community-based services to elementary school students utilizing the Incredible Years prevention and early intervention program. Familiarity with Incredible Years Program is a plus, but training in the model is also included for all staff.
POSITION
Provide social-emotional support services to elementary school students (TK-3) utilizing Incredible Years Child Dinosaur Program. Practice as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the provision of care including universal screenings, triage and engagement of students/families in intervention and support services. Facilitate regular classroom groups and partner with classroom teachers to address behavior concerns. Assist with the facilitation of school-wide assemblies and workshops for school staff to identify strategies and interventions for working with at-risk youth.
REQUIREMENTS
• Master’s Degree and registration with the state of California BBS as an ASW/IMF in good standing.
• Experience in working in school-based mental health program, mental health clinic, or other behavioral health setting.
• 2-4 years professional experience in working with at-risk youth.
• Experience and knowledge in assessment and treatment of children and adolescents.
• Bilingual preferred.
HOURS
Full-time 40 hours per week
