Seeking a full-time MFT intern to work at a drug addiction treatment center in Carlsbad, CA. Primary responsibilities would be direct client care: assessment, group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy and case management using evidenced based modalities (i.e., CBT, DBT). A licensed clinician is available to provide supervision and sign off on hours.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, can establish good rapport with clients, strong with documentation, great communicator, able to work with a multidisciplinary team and has a positive attitude. The clinician must have good professional boundaries and be able to handle complex cases at times. It is a great training opportunity to see a diverse array of clientele and work closely with a collaborative team.

The SCRC drug addiction treatment program is a gender specific all male intensive outpatient program. We believe in a client centered, abstinence based, 12 step model of treatment. Our treatment staff includes psychologists, medical physician, psychiatrist, addiction counselors and therapists. Our clients usually complete our program within six months. Drug Court Therapist

Juvenile Drug Court – Therapist One therapist positions available working with youth and families enrolled in the Juvenile Drug Court Program. Minimum qualifications include: Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMF) registration, licensed eligible counselor with a current Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Board of Behavior Science (BBS) registration. In addition, must have knowledge and/or experience providing services to at-risk youth with alcohol/drug issues. Duties include, but are not limited to: assessments, treatment plan development, provide individual and/or group therapy to youth in and out of custody, and advocacy in Court.
