Key Responsibilities

  • Assists clients with substance use disorder with services which may include individual therapy, group therapy, collateral sessions, family sessions, and/or psycho-social rehabilitation groups and individual sessions.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation of activities and client interactions to be compliant with agency, HIPAA, and funder standards.
  • Ensures documentation is of high quality and is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provide services in the field if deemed appropriate by supervisor to meet the needs of the client.
  • Provide case management services as needed.
  • Work as part of treatment team in collaboration with the prescribing providers, therapists, case managers, and other team members.
  • Assist in crisis and symptom management within assigned program(s).
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor consumer progress.
  • If applicable, complete full assessments for clients entering treatment.
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed or experienced unlicensed MFT, MSW, or Ph.D./Psy.D. from regionally accredited graduate program.
  • If unlicensed, has accrued hours towards clinical experience as a clinician delivering direct mental health services.
  • Must possess a basic understanding of all ages of development (birth-59 years old), child abuse, substance abuse issues, impact of trauma, and self-sufficiency issues.
  • Prefer experience in using evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care.
  • Prefer experience with Los Angeles County Medi-Cal documentation.
  • Must be open to a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and/or weekends.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable.
  • Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance.
