About the Organization:

DBT Center of the South Bay is hiring for a DBT Primary Therapist. We are a private practice, outpatient DBT center in Torrance, California. We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive DBT program for adults and adolescents. We offer our staff a supportive learning environment and opportunities to grow. Our DBT Center is expanding, and we are looking for special individuals who are passionate about DBT to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinician will:

Conduct Intakes and Assessments
Provide DBT therapy for: Adults, Adolescents, Families, and Couples
Teach DBT Skills: Adult and Multifamily Adolescent Skills Groups as well as Family and Individual Skills Sessions
Co-Lead DBT Skills Groups
Attend Weekly DBT Team Meetings
Attend Weekly Supervision Meetings
Be Available for On-Call Telephone Coaching
Facilitate Workshops in the Community
Perform other Duties and Responsibilities as Assigned
This position requires availability for late afternoons, evenings, and weekend hours. The ideal candidate is ready to commit to long term employment, joining an active and engaged team. The ideal candidate is an active team player, with the ability to work alongside teammates to promote and expand our Center, as well as participate in program innovation and evaluation.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirement: LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Psychology license – or license eligible (Masters level only).
Ideal candidates have training and experience using DBT with adults and/or adolescents and willingness to receive needed training to move to proficiency in DBT. (Additional and ongoing DBT training, experience, supervision and consultation are part of the benefits of joining our team.)
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and willingness to learn and use electronic record keeping system for client charting.
