Sierra Health and Wellness Centers is seeking a qualified licensed or registered associate therapist for our substance use residential treatment facility in Monterey, CA. Candidate must possess a masters degree in the behavioral sciences and have at least two years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling. We are looking for a clinician who has a passion for serving clients throughout their substance use recovery journey and is able to effectively engage within a multi-disciplinary team.

Schedule:

  • Wk 1: Sun-Wed / Wk 2: Sun-Thurs (0800-1630)
  • Wk 1: Sun, Wed, Thurs, Fri / Wk 2: Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat (0900-1730)
  • Wk 1: Tues-Sat / WK 2: Wed-Sat (0800-1630)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs direct clinical care as a primary therapist providing group, individual, and family therapy
  • Completes clinical documentation including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and concurrent reviews for extension of treatment
  • Serves as a core member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team
  • Conducts trauma and suicide assessments
  • If licensed, provides weekly formal supervision for associate masters level therapists
  • Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports
  • Attends community functions and makes presentations
  • Participates in collaborative treatment with representatives of other agencies
  • Supports clients throughout treatment by meeting a variety of psychosocial needs
  • Responds to AMA discharges and crisis moments
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings
  • Operates a personal computer and other office equipment
  • Communicates effectively with others in person and over the telephone
  • Must be very familiar with HIPAA/client confidential and personal rights, and maintain confidential information in accordance with legal standards and/or County regulations

Education and minimum qualification:

  • Completion of a masters degree in behavioral science MSW, MFT, MPC
  • Current license registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences OR
  • Current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an associate therapist
  • Must have at minimum two-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License
  • Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification
