The school based therapist provides mental health counseling, case management and consultation services to enrolled students and their families. Therapist also provides psycho-education and consultation to staff at the school site in which they are employed.
Responsibilities
• Conduct group, individual, and/or family therapy
• Maintain client referral list
• Provide reports to school staff and funders as requested
• Communicate with Executive Director on programs, human resource issues, potential contract opportunities, and consultation
• Serve as a community liaison to connect families with outside referrals/resources
• Consult regularly with outside professionals which may include DCFS, CAMFT, School Resource Officers and BBS
• Attend all case related meetings as requested by school staff, including SST, IEP, disciplinary meetings for all Sage clients
• Create and monitor individual plans with goals for each student
• Record and document all client and collateral contacts
• Assist with crisis intervention and treatment
• Attend all relevant trainings
If providing clinical supervision, additional responsibilities would include the following:
• Provide clinical supervision to interns as mandated by the BBS guidelines
• Be available for observation of individual or family therapy, or crisis consultation as needed
• Review and approve therapist paperwork
Qualifications
• LCSW, LMFT, LPC or Associate
Current registration with the BBS
• Fulfillment of TB test, fingerprinting and state clearance, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements
Salary DOE: $48,000-$50,000
