The Child Development Resource Center of San Luis Obispo is currently seeking an experienced MFT Intern/ Licensed Therapist for a salaried, full time, benefited Clinical Therapist position. This would include regular clinical supervision provided by a CAMFT Approved Supervisor. You will have the opportunity to provide counseling with Pre-school children & their families. The Center has been serving children and their families for over 25 years and provides valuable therapeutic services to those in need.

We enable MFT Interns to gain experience and hours toward licensure in an environment that emphasizes training in the areas of child, family and individual counseling.
The Clinic Internship requires a minimum one-year commitment from date of hire, as well as the following:

* Ability to work independently, to manage a caseload of at least 10 medi-cal clients without on site supervision.
* Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate sufficiently in English and maintain case notes and files.
* Ability to communicate with a wide range of people from varied cultures and educational levels.
* Ability to work as a team member and maintain boundaries, while communicating effectively.
* Registered Intern with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
* Past clinical experience working with children and families.
*Working knowledge of child centered play therapy approaches.
* Carry your own malpractice insurance.
* Knowledge of Anasazi Database very helpful.
* Bi-Lingual a plus.
