Asian Pacific Counseling & Treatment Centers is a division of Special Service for Groups (SSG) and was the very first mental health center in LA County specifically developed to meet the unique needs of rapidly growing numbers of API immigrants and refugees who were in need of a wide range of mental health services.
SSG-APCTC is currently seeking qualified, bi-lingual/fluent Korean or Spanish language clinicians with experience working with children, TAY, teens, families, adults and older adults to work under outpatient, school-based mental health, FCCS and/or FSP programs.
Duties will include, but not limited to, conducting individual, family and/or group counseling either in the office, field or schools. Candidate will provide crisis assessment and intervention and depending on program assignment, will need to provide 24-hours emergency psychiatric coverage for clients. The candidate will collaborate with hospitals, family members, law enforcement, school personnel and significant others and will facilitate access to needed resources for their client in the community. Candidates are required to maintain up-to-date DMH documentation.
We are looking for candidates who have a strong interest and comfort level in working with adults, TAY, children and families and are familiar with DSM 5/ICD 10 and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team focused environment. The ideal candidate must be willing to take initiative, be persistent and eager and willing to learn.
