POSITION: BILINGUALTHERAPISTS – WRAPAROUND AND FSP

QUALIFICATIONS FOR FSP PROGRAM:
To perform effectively in this position, the successful candidates must have a MA, MSW, MFT, LCSW, Psy.D. or Ph.D. in psychology, counseling, social work or related field, valid California clinical license; Two years clinical experience with children and families; Some experience providing home based counseling service; A minimum one year experience working with multiple-issue families (e.g. unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, homelessness); A strong interest in providing home- based, culturally relevant counseling services with some supervisory responsibilities; Commitment to providing community based services to multi-cultural population;Fluency in Spanish required ; A working knowledge of DMH documentation; Must be able to work a minimum two days of evening hours; Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR WRAPAROUND PROGRAM:
To perform effectively in this position, the successful candidates must have a MA in psychology, MSW, or Ph.D., Psy.D. in psychology from an accredited graduate program; Registered Intern or Licensed Therapist; Must have at least one year clinical experience with children and families; Some experience providing home based counseling service; Minimum one year experience working with multiple-issue families (e.g. unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, homelessness); Strong interest in providing home based, culturally relevant counseling services; Commitment to providing community based services to multicultural population; Fluency in Spanish required ; Must be able to work a minimum two days of evening hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide individual and/or family assessment and clinical support to children who are at risk of abuse and/or neglect and children with severe emotional difficulties which place them at risk of losing their current placement.
  • Provide individual/family in home counseling services and/or office based treatment to children and adolescents with a range of psychological, emotional and behavioral problems.
  • Supervise several staff TBS specialists, which comprises providing 1 hour of individual supervision per week per staff, as well as reviewing progress notes and paperwork, and providing consults with specialists on an as-needed basis. (FSP)
  • Conduct Group supervision in conjunction with TBS Coordinator. (FSP)
  • Collaborate and consult with TBS specialists on a continued basis in order to provide clients with quality care. (FSP)
  • Conduct assessment sessions for each client within the first 30 days of treatment to complete Supplemental TBS Assessment. (FSP)
  • Generates and submits Supplemental TBS Assessment at end of assessment period to establish eligibility for program. (FSP)
  • Provide case management services which may include interfacing with community psychiatric hospitals, Department of Family and Children Services (DCFS), Department of Mental Health (DMH) school officials, Boys and Girls Club representatives and law enforcement and others as appropriate. (WRAPAROUND)
  • Provide office based and/or in home counseling to clients within our various outpatient programs (e.g. Foster Family Program, Family Preservation Program, EPSDT Program, Community Bridges, Project HOPE) as assigned. (WRAPAROUND).
  • Communicate with teachers, clinicians, childcare workers, parents, community workers, and others directly involved with the client regarding TBS services.
  • Travel to client’s homes in San Fernando Valley and Culver City area for client assessments and monthly meetings.
  • Interface with DCFS, DMH, court systems, Schools and other community liaisons, as needed.
  • Ensure 24-hour availability and crisis intervention on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain client information in a confidential manner.
  • Maintain client charts in a responsible manner and meet all paperwork deadlines requirements.
