Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.
The Help Group’s nine specialized day schools offer pre-K through high school programs for more than 1,550 students. Its broad range of mental health and therapy services, child abuse and residential programs extends its reach to more than 6,000 children and their families each year. POSITION: BILINGUALTHERAPISTS – WRAPAROUND AND FSP
QUALIFICATIONS FOR FSP PROGRAM:
To perform effectively in this position, the successful candidates must have a MA, MSW, MFT, LCSW, Psy.D. or Ph.D. in psychology, counseling, social work or related field, valid California clinical license; Two years clinical experience with children and families; Some experience providing home based counseling service; A minimum one year experience working with multiple-issue families (e.g. unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, homelessness); A strong interest in providing home- based, culturally relevant counseling services with some supervisory responsibilities; Commitment to providing community based services to multi-cultural population;Fluency in Spanish required ; A working knowledge of DMH documentation; Must be able to work a minimum two days of evening hours; Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR WRAPAROUND PROGRAM:
To perform effectively in this position, the successful candidates must have a MA in psychology, MSW, or Ph.D., Psy.D. in psychology from an accredited graduate program; Registered Intern or Licensed Therapist; Must have at least one year clinical experience with children and families; Some experience providing home based counseling service; Minimum one year experience working with multiple-issue families (e.g. unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, homelessness); Strong interest in providing home based, culturally relevant counseling services; Commitment to providing community based services to multicultural population; Fluency in Spanish required ; Must be able to work a minimum two days of evening hours.
