We are hiring 2-3 MFT Interns (at least 1 bilingual Spanish) at Valley Family Center in San Fernando, CA. NO DMH paperwork, great supervision, very nice facility, friendly coworkers, strong hourly wage, schedule flexibility and autonomy, free training, and tons of opportunity to get creative with treatment approaches, groups, and art. We treat families, children/teens, adults, couples. Many are survivors of domestic violence and abuse, Victims of Crime, and DCFS referrals along with common treatment issues like depression, anxiety, phase of life, relationship trouble, etc. We run processing and art groups for children, teens, and adults, plus education groups for DV (perpetrators and survivors, separately), sexual assault survivors, anger management, and parenting (many in Spanish). Started by 2 open-minded and compassionate Irish nuns, we welcome all religions, LGBTQ, support for addiction recovery (not a rehab though). MUST be available Wednesdays 9am-1pm for group supervision/trainings, and at least 1 afternoon-night for clients and groups. Client load will slowly build up, up to 25.
