The Therapist works at our Transitional Support Services (TSS) Program which provides community support services to dually diagnosed adults living with psychiatric disorders and intellectual disabilities. All services support the successful integration into their communities assisting participants gain a sense of purpose, independence, and the knowledge that neither their developmental nor psychiatric disorder should limit their ability to lead meaningful lives. Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Milestones of Recovery Scale are some of the approaches used to help clients achieve their goals, and to monitor their progress as their risks are reduced.
Description
The Therapist works with clients and their care providers to assess needs and goals, and empowers them in meeting these through the development of individualized service plans. This position provides both individual and group therapy, and is able to make recommendations for improvements within the clinical service aspect of the program. To maintain program efficiency, the Therapist is responsible for ensuring the clinical needs of members are met and that all paperwork, records, and reports are consistent with program needs and expectations. This position also requires the ability to respond to critical situations and perform intervention strategies.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LCSW/MFT/Psychologist or ACSW/AMFT) -or- valid registration with the CA BBS as an ACSW or AMFT
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a provider of mental health services
Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation’s treatment and programming
Valid California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance/registration
