Wraparound BILINGUAL (Spanish) Youth Support Specialist:

Under the direct supervision of the SBCSELPA Mental Health Specialist / Wraparound Coordinator, and in collaboration with the Wrap Facilitator (WF), the Bilingual Youth Support Specialist (YSS) serves in the direct care and engagement of students with significant mental health and/or behavioral challenges. The YSS will provide counseling, mentoring, modeling, transportation, living skills training, positive behavior support, and peer support to students with various social-emotional challenges in the community, at home, and at school. The Bilingual YSS works collaboratively with the student’s family and IEP team to support accessing their education in the Least Restrictive Environment possible. The Bilingual YSS will also require ongoing documentation of interventions, minutes-served, patterns of behavior and incidents; as well as ongoing participation in training, supervisory meetings, SBCSELPA/program meetings, and other educationally-related mental health tasks as-designated by SBCSELPA Executive Director.

Requirements:

• BA in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field; preferred school psychologist, MFT Trainee, etc. working towards a Master’s Degree.

• Valid CA state driver’s license and working, reliable vehicle.

Benefits:

• Medical, dental, and vision benefits up to $8,000 annual cap for full time (40 hours weekly).

• Stipend and/or reimbursements for mileage.

Hours:

• Full-time (40 hours/week) position

• Start ASAP

• Pay Rate: $16-22/hour depending on experience.
