Nexus Youth & Family Services is a human services organization operating in Amador County. The mission of Nexus is to serve members of the community through innovative programs, collaborative partnerships, and the provision of educational and therapeutic services. Examples of Nexus programs include Youth Programs, Family Resource Centers, Parenting Classes, Home Visiting, and Therapeutic Counseling Services for children and their parents.
Nexus provides a variety of counseling services for children and their parents including:
• Individual counseling for child victims of trauma, abuse, or bullying;
• Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT);
• Aggression Replacement Training (ART) groups; and
• Common Ground group therapy for teens and parents.
The Associate/Trainee provides counseling services, assessments, screenings and client reports, and assists with other agency-related activities. The Associate/Trainee receives weekly formal clinical supervision as well as ongoing interaction and contact with the other members of the Nexus team.
