SUD Therapist for Residential Detox

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and highly skilled SUD (Substance Use Disorder) Therapist to join our luxury residential detox program. In this vital role, you will provide expert clinical care to individuals navigating detoxification from substances, guiding them through a structured recovery process. Your expertise will help clients achieve stability, develop coping strategies, and prepare for ongoing treatment. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments upon intake, ensuring accurate diagnosis and documentation.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to client needs.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and motivation for change.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate addiction counseling, PTSD care, and behavioral health support.
  • Maintain meticulous records using KIPU, in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of all documentation.
  • Engage in telehealth services as needed to extend care beyond the residential setting, ensuring continuity of treatment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent PLUS associate licensure (such as an ACSW, AMFT, APCC) required.
  • Proven experience working with individuals facing substance use disorders within residential detox and/or outpatient settings highly preferred.
  • Strong background in psychotherapy modalities and behavioral management techniques appropriate for the SUD population.
  • Experience facilitating relevant clinical group sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management skills.
  • Telehealth experience is preferred to facilitate remote client assessments and follow-up care.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards ensures the highest level of client confidentiality and data security.
  • Familiarity with KIPU EMR system for all required documentation.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License or ID.
  • CPR/First AID, Health Screen, and TB test.

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per year
