School-Based Associate AMFT Therapist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in providing support, guidance, and therapeutic interventions to enhance the well-being of our clients. The Therapist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Duties

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients’ mental health needs.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to develop behavior management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each client, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Collect and analyze data related to client progress and treatment effectiveness.
  • Provide patient care by assessing needs, developing treatment goals, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
  • Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve issues that may arise during therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each client’s unique situation.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensure or certification as required by state regulations for therapists.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with maintaining medical records.
  • Strong skills in conflict management and the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of data collection methods related to behavioral analysis and mental health outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
