Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) – Intensive Outpatient Program
About Us:
Monarch Wellness Center, Inc. is a client-centered substance abuse treatment facility dedicated to supporting recovery through compassionate care and evidence-based practices. We are seeking a motivated AMFT – Therapist to join our clinical team, providing psychotherapy and support to clients facing addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the AMFT will deliver individual, family, and group therapy services, conduct assessments, and participate in treatment planning and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, including mental status exams
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, couple/family, and group therapy sessions
- Perform crisis interventions and 5150 evaluations as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in case conferences and utilization reviews
- Offer consultation and in-service training on mental health topics
- Demonstrate familiarity with 12-step recovery models (AA, NA, CA, Al-Anon)
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards in clinical practice
- Maintain sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and family systems
Requirements:
- Current registration as an AMFT with the California BBS (Required)
- Must have valid California certification or state license to practice (Required)
- Must be physically and mentally able to assist in emergencies
- TB screen, health screening, and valid CPR/First Aid certificate (Required or obtained upon hire)
- Ability to monitor and maintain clinical documentation standards
- Experience in substance use disorder and co-occurring treatment preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills
