Job Title: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)

Location: Redondo Beach, California

Position Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

About Our Program: R&R Health LLC is a privately owned, clinically driven behavioral health center located in Redondo Beach, California. We offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach to healing that integrates body, mind, and spirit. Through our Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) programs, we serve adults using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Experiential Therapies including art and therapeutic yoga. Our philosophy centers on whole-person care, building authentic therapeutic relationships, and empowering clients with the tools, skills, and community connections they need for long-term recovery. We emphasize a non-confrontational, safe, and nurturing environment where healing can take root.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance abuse treatment and early recovery support. This role offers the opportunity to accrue practicum hours under the supervision of our Clinical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Group Facilitation: Design and lead therapeutic groups in collaboration with the clinical team, tailored to support clients in early recovery.
  • Individual Counseling and Case Management: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients, addressing substance abuse and related mental health issues.
  • Curriculum Development: Work collaboratively with the clinical team to develop and enhance treatment curricula that align with best practices in behavioral health.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records using Kipu EMR, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Boundary Management: Uphold appropriate professional boundaries with clients to maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general office duties, including scheduling, data entry, and correspondence, demonstrating punctuality and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters in Social Work (MSW) or Masters in Clinical Psychology (MFT).
  • Licensure: Active registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) in the state of California.
  • Certification: At least a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) certification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working in behavioral health settings, specifically with substance abuse populations and clients in early recovery.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Kipu EMR, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Attributes: Strong communication skills, punctuality, ability to maintain boundaries, and excellent general office skills.

Compensation: Given the part-time nature of this position (14 hours per week), the compensation will be prorated accordingly and will be competitive within a range of $45-55/hr, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
