TITLE AMFT/APCC Therapist

SALARY From $58,240 To $70,000 Annually

CLASSIFICATION Full-Time, Non-Exempt

LOCATION On Site Only Jackson Rd. Sacramento, CA

SCHEDULE Monday- Friday, Day shift

About the Position

The AMFT/APCC Therapist works under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health to provide quality, comprehensive, person-centered mental health services to clients and their families as they move towards stabilization. As an AMFT/APCC Therapist you will be responsible for providing competent, culturally relevant services, including psychotherapeutic assessments, interventions, classes and weekly therapy sessions to clients and/or children in program. Weekly individual and group supervision is provided with this position.

Youll be responsible for

  • Conduct mental health evaluations and assessment for all clients.
  • Provide specialized consultation and therapeutic treatment for clients.
  • Knowledge of the impact of mental health on co-occurring disorders.
  • Communicate with compassion and confidentiality with clients and families.
  • Facilitate mental health groups on topics relevant to mental health.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Complete treatment plans, assessments, progress notes and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison for clients with conflict and create a plan of action.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to clients, children, and families.

You must have…

  • Masters Degree
  • 1 years of experience with working with mental health or training.
  • Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
  • Proficient knowledge of email, copiers, fax, and internet
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • An incredible passion for our mission
  • Required License/ Certifications: Currently registered with the BBS as a registered associate in good standing. First Aid/CPR and TB (to be completed as employee).

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical requirements for performing the essential functions of this position require the employee to be able to:

  • Standing/walking approximately 20% and sitting 80% of the time
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to hear and respond to simple and sometimes critical messages exchanged in noisy/high traffic areas.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
