Part-Time Therapist/AMFT – Join our Compassionate Team!

We are seeking a talented and empathetic Therapist/AMFT to join our dedicated team in a part-time capacity. As a Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing effective counseling and support to our clients, helping them on their journey to recovery. Responsibilities:

• Conduct group therapy sessions and individual therapy sessions while adhering to program standards. Document client progress and participation accurately.
• Perform intake assessments and biopsychosocial assessments to gather clinical information. Collaborate with clients to develop treatment plans and implement them effectively.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records for clients, documenting all provided services within each individualized treatment episode.
• Prepare progress reports and relevant letters for appropriate parties as needed.
• Educate families and groups on substance abuse and mental health treatments, as well as prevention programs.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals or counseling services when necessary.
• Assist clients in discharge planning, identifying their needs, and connecting them with appropriate services.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to regulatory timeframes and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a clinical setting, social work, or a related field is required.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor with a genuine desire to help individuals on their recovery journey.
• Ability to establish rapport and build a trusting relationship with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
• Must hold an AMFT qualification.

Minimum requirements for the position:

• Physical fitness, TB test, and drug screen are mandatory.
• Ability to present oneself professionally both orally and physically while maintaining and upholding strong boundaries with a therapeutic approach.
• If recovering from substance abuse, a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety is required.
• Knowledge of 12-step based recovery is a plus but not mandatory.
• Pay scale will be determined based on experience and education.
