Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) – Intensive Outpatient Program

About Us:
Monarch Wellness Center, Inc. is a client-centered substance abuse treatment facility dedicated to supporting recovery through compassionate care and evidence-based practices. We are seeking a motivated AMFT – Therapist to join our clinical team, providing psychotherapy and support to clients facing addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the AMFT will deliver individual, family, and group therapy services, conduct assessments, and participate in treatment planning and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, including mental status exams
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual, couple/family, and group therapy sessions
  • Perform crisis interventions and 5150 evaluations as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in case conferences and utilization reviews
  • Offer consultation and in-service training on mental health topics
  • Demonstrate familiarity with 12-step recovery models (AA, NA, CA, Al-Anon)
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards in clinical practice
  • Maintain sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and family systems

Requirements:

  • Current registration as an AMFT with the California BBS (Required)
  • Must have valid California certification or state license to practice (Required)
  • Must be physically and mentally able to assist in emergencies
  • TB screen, health screening, and valid CPR/First Aid certificate (Required or obtained upon hire)
  • Ability to monitor and maintain clinical documentation standards
  • Experience in substance use disorder and co-occurring treatment preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills
