Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and experience in facilitating group sessions for individuals in inpatient and/or outpatient setting. This role is crucial in providing support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their mental health challenges through various therapeutic modalities, including dance therapy and behavioral health interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on mental health and wellness, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to engage clients in discussions that promote self-awareness, coping strategies, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the needs of each group member.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor progress of participants, providing feedback and adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of group sessions, including attendance, participant engagement, and any incidents that may arise.
  • Provide crisis intervention when needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives as required, contributing to the advancement of therapeutic practices within the organization.

Qualifications

  • A degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient mental health counseling or behavioral health settings is essential.
  • Familiarity with substance abuse is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is important.
  • Strong skills in case management and clinical counseling practices.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology and its implications for mental health treatment is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professional boundaries.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
