This works as a place to get paid kid hours rapidly in the Child and Family Division.. That said, you'll work your tail off chasing "productivity" numbers. And if you're not hitting 100% productivity, you're running the risk of getting fired. Literally. Population in Child/Family is children and adolescents, with collateral contact w/parents. Ages range 0-18. Relentless pace. DMH paperwork which isn't really the big, scary dragon it gets made out to be; it's detailed, but do-able. Child division has a rah-rah atmosphere. Adult division is very different, much more low key. Overall, it's agency work; some stay a long time, most get in, get their hours, burn out and move on. At least when you're done at the end of your shift, you're done, no on-call. Management and supervision is hit and miss.
